Richardson and Peat were awarded the contract to construct a new dwelling in a rural environment on a standalone site , the two storey house provided three main bedrooms with an option for a fourth bedroom or office room , the kitchen, dining and lounge area has been opened up to provide the flexibility of open plan living.
Externally the house creates a modern look while using traditional finishes with slate roof tiles and larch timber cladding , aluminium windows and doors provide the security and u-values that the house requires in a rural area. The off site construction of a highly insulated and air tight timber frame allows for an exemplary building for energy performance.
Internally the sympathetic layout provided large rooms for both bedrooms and bathrooms with the open plan area providing a focal point for the house.
Large rear external doors provide the link to the garden and patio area while the main entrance and integral garage lead from the driveway.
The house sets a standard in the use of high quality fixtures, fittings and finishes throughout providing a beautifully crafted residence.
