Richardson and Peat were contracted to convert an existing brick and metal clad barn in poor condition into a new home , the remodelling of the property enabled the footprint to be converted in to a two storey house with four bedrooms an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge with office space a mezzanine floor above the lounge area and a bathroom and en-suites to bedrooms.
Externally the structure was upgraded with insulation to maintain good energy performance and while keeping the existing brickwork additional timber cladding was added for character along with a new slate roof . A driveway was provided to the property with the house overlooking a garden and fields to the rear.
Internally the remodelling kept some of the main timber structure intact which added character to the feel of the building, bathrooms and kitchen fixtures and fittings stand out as the highest quality while the general decorating and floor finishes with oak internal doors completes the internal overall look of class the building deserves.
